We recently had the pleasure of adding new contacts at a national conference in Dallas. If there’s one thing we’ve learned through our Mela Group success, it’s the value of a diverse and successful network. We’ve met so many different kinds of high achievers through the course of our company’s ongoing growth. Networking in the heart of Texas showed us once again how valuable a broad assortment of business contacts really is.
One of the best things about contacting at a major industry event is that we can evaluate ourselves. In other words, interacting with top-flight pros from other markets helps us figure out where we’re doing well and where we can make improvements. We gain clearer perspectives along the way. This builds our motivation even further, so that we’re ready to hit the ground running when we return to the Mela Group office.
We also add valuable sources of advice every time we add new contacts. As we move forward in our careers, we know there will be challenges and obstacles to overcome. By spending time with people who have already cleared these same types of hurdles, we prepare ourselves to do the same. It’s safe to say that we’ve become a more confident group thanks to our networking exploits.
